Theodore Roosevelt Henderson was the oldest son of James Price and and Hattie Fuller Henderson. He was my father. 

Theodore was born on January 11, 1916 in Cherokee County Alabama north of Gaylesville. I obtained a copy of his birth certificate from the state of Alabama.  Click here to see the copy of his birth certificate.

In 1920 when Theodore was 4, I found them living in Cherokee County.  Click here to see a copy of the 1920 Census.  Based on the information on the grave marker of my Uncle Henry Henderson, I believe that James Price moved with his family including Theodore to Florida between 22 Dec 1924 and 15 December 1926.  I found the family in the 1930 Census living in Florida in Marion County District 21 near the community of Linadale. Linadale was situated very closely to the intersection of Highway 42 and 450. Marion County begins just a few hundred yards west of Altoona and I remembered my dad telling me that the family had lived north of Highway 42.  I will discuss some of that information later. Click here to see the 1930 census of Marion County, Florida.   Between 1930 and 1934 James Price moved his family to Hillsborough County Florida.  Theodore remained in Lake County working odd jobs in the Altoona Florida area.

Theodore Roosevelt Henderson (affectionately known as T) was born January 11, 1916 in Cherokee County, Alabama north of Gaylesville and died April 3, 1993, in Sumpter County, Florida (Wildwood).  Theodore Roosevelt Henderson married September 26,1939, Mary Theresa Burjoski daughter of Jurko (George) Buchowski (Burjoski) and Maria (Mary) Dubiniewicz  in Delhi Ontario Canada. Mary Theresa was born October 5, 1921 in Thorold Welland Ontario Canada. Theodore Roosevelt is buried in Lakeside Memory Gardens Cemetery in Eustis, Lake, Florida. Theodore Roosevelt and Mary had the following children: James Henry Henderson, Gerald Wayne Henderson, Mary Cecelia Henderson, and Theodore Merrill Henderson.

Children of Theodore Roosevelt and Mary Burjoski Henderson are as follows:

I. James Henry Henderson was born on January 5, 1941 in Eustis Lake Florida.  James was married on September 1, 1962 to Barbara Ann Givens in Eustis Lake Florida.  Barbara was the daughter of Gaddies and Alice Clements Givens.

II. Gerald Wayne Henderson was born on April 19, 1942 in Eustis Lake Florida.  Gerald was married first to Judy Shiftlett and then to Carrie Adams.  Click here to see pictures of Gerald and his family!

III. Mary Cecilia Henderson was born on August 7, 1945 in Eustis Lake Florida.  Mary was married first to Jessie Roy Warren on June 14, 1962 and then to David Steve Houston on March 27, 1981.

IV. Theodore Merrill Henderson was born on December 28, 1947 in Eustis Lake Florida.  Theodore was married August 31, 1971 to Margaret Madeline Waldron.
