Minnie Elizabeth Bush Givens was Barbara Givens Henderson's grandmother and the mother of Gaddies Givens. She was born ca 1878 and was believed to be ca 46 years old in this picture. Three of her sons are pictured here with her and they are from left to right; Acrite Jackson Givens, Elzie Givens, and Oite Givens. This picture was made on the Bud Ward Farm where the Givens were tenant farmers. The Bud Ward Farm was located about seven miles north of Headland, Alabama. |
