Linda Faith Coyle Crawford was a classmate of ours until 1958. You can see her in the 5th grade picture posted elsewhere on this site and in the 2003 and 2004 Class of 1959 get togethers. Contrary to what is printed in her obituary, she moved to Umatilla in 1943 from Louisville KY. I will show a picture below of Linda and her mom at a gathering of the Umatilla Baptist Church Circle Meeting when Linda was 3 or 4 years old. Linda was married in 1958 to Buddy Crawford and under the rules of the State of Florida at the time, she had to quit high school.
This old picture is a photocopy of the Umatilla Baptist Church Circle Meeting ca 1943/44. Since Linda Faith Coyle moved to Umatilla in 1943, this would be after her move. She is in the front row sitting in her mother's lap. Ironically, my mother Mary Burjoski Henderson is to the left of Mrs. Coyle and Linda when looking at the picture. On the right of Mrs. Coyle and Linda is Opal Merrill. There is some evidence to suggest that the lady to the left of Mary Henderson is Virginia Smith. Eventually, I hope to identify all the ladies int his picture. I am sure that most class members remember Linda's father Edgar Coyle who was Umatilla policeman for a number of years.
