| The Fuller Family
Hattie Louise Fuller Henderson, my fraternal grandmother was born on March 27, 1899 in Cherokee County, Alabama, to parents James Alfred and Louisa O'Della Norris Fuller. O'Della had married John Parkinson in 1893, but John died (some have speculated he died by falling in a well). Then in 1895, O'Della married James Alfred Fuller. O'Della had a son John Parkinson and he was adopted by James Fuller. James Fuller was the son of John and Martha Allan/Allen Fuller. Click here to see the descendant family tree of John Fuller. James was born on May 9, 1867 in Georgia. The 1870 census is the first census depicted below and is typical of a lot of census information in that it had ages of the John Fuller family that don't mesh with later census data. I am hoping to find a Fuller bible or some other concrete piece of information that will confirm the dates I have been given and have tried to stay with. The original information I received came from my Aunt Betty Joyce Henderson Wunderlich who got them from her mother Hattie Louise Fuller Henderson. The 1870 census thumbnail below will lead one to further information on the John Fuller family. In the 1880 census James Fuller was 13 years old and living with his mom and dad, John and Martha Fuller in District 21, Cherokee County, Alabama. James is listed as being born in Georgia. John is listed as being born in South Carolina. I have created a section on the Norris family with information from the Norris bible concerning Della and her siblings. I also have information from the census records dating to 1840 in Georgia. These were taken from Ancestry. COM. Click here to see the latest information on the Norris family. The 12th Census of the United States taken in 1900 shows the Fullers living in Cherokee County, Alabama in the Cedar Springs District Number 131. The census had John Parkinson with the Parkinson struck out, Robert F, Fuller, and Hattie L. Fuller, female and one year old. Interesting as most people know who have done genealogical research, Hattie is named Mattie. As I will show in the 1910, 1920, and 1930 census she again was named Hattie.Click to see the James Fuller Family Tree Click on Images to see a full size version
