Death Certificate for Anastozia Bobyk Dubiniewicz
The Death Certificate for
Anastozia Bobyk Dubiniewicz. She is one of my maternal great
grandmothers. She was living at the time of death on Battle Street in
Thorold Ontario Canada. Her husband Nick provided the information to the
doctor. She was born March 1856 in Austria (Ukraine). (Note:
this birthplace and full name is subject to change once I get official
documentation from the Ukraine.) Her father was John Bobyk
who was also born in Austria and her mother was Annie Garbaezywska also born
in Austria. I have been told by Lia Nieuwesteeg of Niagara Falls,
Ontario and who was a good friend of Bernice Dubiniewicz that Nicholas and
Anastozia are both buried in the old Lakeview Cemetery in Thorold.
Mrs. Nieuwesteeg was going to show Barbara and I the gravesites the day we
had to beat a retreat out of Ontario due to the October snowstorm.
Notice again that Nick listed her as only being in Canada for 9 years.
I will continue to search for her immigration date.
