This picture appeared in the North Lake Outpost Weekly edition of Jan 22, 2009. The main reason I was interested in it was those of us in the Class of 59 will remember Mrs. Meadows as the School Librarian. One of our classmates married her son. I was also interested because Mr. Moore who was the principal of the High School lived next door to me during my last three years in High School. He was teaching in Altoona at the time he lived next door to me. I did not realize he had been the principal at Umatilla High School. I also recognized Tommy Merrill in the upper right hand corner. When I was growing up, he worked in the Merrill garage on the south end of Umatilla. I also believe that Donald Vaughn is the uncle of Ike Vaughn. |
