The Henderson Family Reunion

It’s reunion time once again

Families coming from far and near

In honor of the Henderson Clan

In remembrance of them each year

In honor of our Mother

Who has since gone on

This tradition has continued

At Sam and Carol’s home

Held closest to her birthday

In March of every year

A time we all look forward too

A time we hold so dear

Each family bringing their special dish

Some bringing more than one

Placing them on the tables prepared

Before the dinner has begun

The Blessing having been asked

Lining up our plates to fill

God has greatly blessed us

With our family we are thrilled

Having our own string band

Consisting of family and friends as well

Doing such a beautiful job

I think they are just swell

We sit around and sing with them

Having a real good time

Enjoying all this talent

It brings solace to the mind

We then take family pictures

Making memories while we’re there

Something to look back upon

The pictures we all can share

We miss those who have since gone

And them we’ll never forget

Memories of them still linger

In all our hearts still yet

As this day some to a close

We’ve had a wonderful year

God bless you everyone
